Obsession or dependency?

Throughout the time I was in Ecuador, I was continually quoting different people. In fact, I had a few of these little black books that I used to carry around with me everywhere. Whether it was someone on the bus, or something I read in a book, I would write it down. Sadly, both of these little books were stolen during my trip. I hope that whoever found them appreciated the Hebrew, the Japanese, the love poem, and the vocabulary. Those little black books were precious to me. Some of the quotes I liked enough to copy them into my journal, thus salvaging them from being lost forever in the wind.

When I feel confused, or uninspired, or just plain bored, I will get on the internet and look up quotes relating to a word. You would not believe the inspiration and motivation I have acquired by doing so. These phrases, sentences, little tidbits of timeless advice sometimes hold just the answer I need. They are often random, however, because they speak to me, I must share at least a few with you... May you enjoy and be inspired.

"It is often the failure who is the pioneer in new lands, new undertakings, and new forms of expression." -Eric Hoffer

"Do not rely on the governments or institutions to make a change. Social change is achieved through the passion of individuals." -Margaret Mead

"Eventually I may have to become a more solid citizen again, I'm aware of this. But not yet... please. Not just yet." -Elizabeth Gilbert
"As it has been said:
Love and a cough
Cannot be concealed.
Even a cough.
Even a small love."
-Anne Sexton

"You think of the two types of aloneness you've known recently: this wonderful, sparkly, soul-refreshing type, and the despairing loneliness that sucks the breath from your life." -Anonymous, The Bride Stripped Bare
